2 stages of grape processing to increase yield are named

Experienced gardeners already know that there are only two most important treatments in the life of grapes. The first is carried out at the beginning of flowering, and the second after. Both are prevention of the spread of diseases that cause up to 85% of the crop to die. Let's talk about this in more detail.

How and when to treat grapes from rot

Prevention is carried out in two stages. The first one is before flowering, the second one is after.

Growers recommend not to skimp on treatments and to buy professional products, such as “Defender” and “Tandem”.

The first one fights the pathogens of the main diseases of the crop, such as oidium, gray rot, mildew.

The second component is used as a “glue”, which allows the active component to remain on the leaves and vines longer.

Instead of the second component, gardeners allow the use of liquid soap, but it is important that it is without aromatic impurities.

The solution is prepared according to the instructions, after which not only the leaves but also the vine are treated.

It is important to treat the leaves from the back side as well, and it is better to plan the procedure for dry and windless weather. The ideal time is before sunset.

This way, the solution will not evaporate or run off to the ground, but will be absorbed into the bark and leaves within a few hours.

The second treatment is carried out with the same preparations, but only after the grapes have bloomed.

If everything is done conscientiously, the vine will be reliably protected from pests and diseases.
