1. Cherry impregnation
You will need about 1/3 cup of cherry juice, to which you need to add 1-2 tablespoons of sugar and 3-4 tablespoons of cognac.
After that, bring the liquid to the volume of one cup with water and you can start moistening the layers of your cake.
2. Orange syrup
Pour half a cup of orange juice, a quarter cup of sugar and add finely chopped peel removed from one orange into a saucepan.
Keep the syrup on low heat until the sugar dissolves, then reduce the flame to minimum and cook for about 15 minutes.
The volume of the syrup should be reduced by half. It is necessary to use it as an impregnation when it is still warm.
3. Currant impregnation
The taste of the impregnation is most vividly revealed in cakes with sour cream. To prepare, mix 0.5 cups of currant syrup, 2 tablespoons of sugar and a glass of water.
Bring to a boil and keep on the stove until the sugar dissolves.
