4 “secrets” of growing zucchini

Every gardener wants to get a decent harvest of zucchini.
To do this, you need to know some secrets of growing, so that you can then brag to your neighbors about the fruits you have harvested.
Predecessors
You need to remember the rules of crop rotation when choosing a place where a certain crop will grow.
You cannot plant zucchini after pumpkins, otherwise the harvest will be meager, since there will be few useful elements in the soil.
It is better to distribute seedlings or seeds on those areas where green manure, onions or garlic, peas, parsley or carrots used to grow.
Fertilization
Organic matter in the form of humus or compost is good when preparing beds.
You can then use mineral fertilizers 2-3 times during the growing season.
And zucchini also like phosphorus and potassium. The latter guarantees dense flesh.
Watering
Plants need abundant watering. A large bush will need from 2 to 5 liters of water. At the same time, do not overdo it with liquid, otherwise it threatens with rotting.
The frequency and volume depend on the moisture capacity of the soil.
A week before harvesting, watering should be reduced.
The first ovary
It should be cut off to accelerate the formation of the rest. This will also increase the yield.
Usually, the ovary is removed on the main whip, less often on the side ones. But it is important not to remove the male flowers, which are necessary for pollination.
