7 foods that oncologists never eat – and neither should we!

Never eat these products if you want to protect yourself from cancer.

Unfortunately, no remedy has yet been found that would guarantee 100% protection against cancer and maximum prevention of this disease — but factors that are guaranteed to increase the risk of its development are already known. And, unfortunately, in many cases, such a “trigger” turns out to be the foods that we regularly eat ourselves and give to our loved ones. We found out which foods oncologists never eat — and we suggest that you also banish them from your kitchen and from your plates forever!

Processed meat

Not so long ago, experts from the World Health Organization officially classified sausages, hot dogs and other processed meat products as carcinogens. As noted in a report recently published by the WHO, just 50 grams of processed meat daily increases the risk of developing bowel cancer by 18%. Moreover, these products become harmful primarily due to substances that extend the shelf life of meat – and which, when ingested, make it more vulnerable to a dangerous disease.

Popcorn

The most dangerous thing for your health may be popcorn cooked in a microwave oven: the fact is that it is often cooked using synthetic oils, the vapors of which contain a dangerous compound called diatomaceous earth, which increases the risk of lung cancer. It is diatomaceous earth that gives popcorn its tempting aroma – and, unfortunately, makes this product very dangerous.

Salmon

Farm-raised salmon is, of course, more affordable than wild salmon — but it’s also much more dangerous to our health. On average, farm-raised salmon contains 16 times more polychlorinated biphenyls (PCBs) — toxic substances that increase the risk of developing dangerous tumors. Salmon is a very healthy fish, but before you buy it, ask about its origin!

Charcoal-grilled meat

The high temperatures required to cook steaks, kebabs, and other grilled foods produce aromatic heterocyclic amines and polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons, carcinogens that can be harmful to your health. That doesn't mean you have to give up kebabs forever, but at least avoid eating the parts that have darkened during cooking.

Artificial Sweeteners

Strictly speaking, any sugar substitutes and sweeteners should be thrown away right now and in the future, you should carefully monitor that this filth never crosses the threshold of your house again. They break our metabolism, increase the risk of heart attack, and finally, some of them are really carcinogenic. However, there is another problem: excessive consumption of regular sugar can also lead to accelerated reproduction of cancer cells. Therefore, no matter how you say it, you should learn to eat less sweet things.

Alcohol

Cancer of the brain, larynx, esophagus, liver, breast and colon – do you know what unites these manifestations of a terrible disease? Their development can be provoked by regular alcohol consumption – unfortunately, studies have proven it. If you’re not ready to give up alcohol completely, you may want to cut back on the amount or frequency of your drinking for your own health.

Trans Fats

Trans fats are created when manufacturers convert liquid oils into solid fats through hydrogenation. They’re used to extend shelf life and stabilize flavor, and are widely used in products like margarine, crackers, cereals, candy, baked goods, cookies, granola, chips, snacks, salad dressings, and shortening. And if you value your life and health, you should say a firm “no” to any products that contain trans fats.
