A healthy marmalade treat made from pumpkin and apples
0
Natural healthy marmalade can be made from rice and pumpkin. Round-grain rice is ideal for this, but its presence in the dessert is not so easy to guess. But pumpkin, apples and orange give the dessert a bright look and taste, and dates serve as a natural sweetener.
And if the finished marmalade is not rolled in sugar, the dessert will turn out to be super healthy and dietary. If you have a sweet tooth, sprinkle the marmalade with powdered sugar.
Ingredients
- Round rice – 2 tbsp.
- Pumpkin (pulp) – 300 g
- Apples (peeled) – 300 g
- Orange – 1 pc.
- Dates – 50 g
- Gelatin – 30 g
- Cinnamon – 1/2 tsp.
- Sugar for sprinkling (optional)
Preparation:
- Rinse the rice, pour water in a ratio of 1 part rice to 2 parts water. Boil the rice until it is a viscous consistency and rub it through a sieve or grind it with a blender.
- Pour the gelatin with a small amount of water and let it swell.
- Cut the pumpkin and apples into cubes and put them in a saucepan. Squeeze the juice from the orange, add it to the pumpkin and apples. Add the dates and cinnamon. Simmer under a closed lid over low heat until the pumpkin softens.
- Add to the total mass of rice. Beat everything with a blender until it is smooth.
- Heat the gelatin in a water bath until it becomes smooth and add it to the total mass. Stir until the gelatin dissolves.
- Pour the mass into molds or into one large flat plate and then cut into pieces. Leave in the refrigerator for 2-3 hours (preferably overnight), until completely solidified.
- If desired, roll the marmalade pieces in sugar or powdered sugar.
