A nutritionist named the ideal products for a winter breakfast

In winter, the body needs more vitamins and minerals than ever before to maintain its health. Therefore, experts recommend eating whole grain cereals, turkey, cheese, and other healthy foods for breakfast that will help you feel fuller and nourish your body with the necessary nutrients. Nutritionist Marina Makisha gave advice on the perfect breakfast in winter.

Details

According to the expert, buckwheat, coarse oatmeal, and quinoa can be an excellent source of dietary fiber and complex carbohydrates for long-lasting satiety. Makisha notes that cereals are rich in magnesium and B vitamins, which contribute to the functioning of the nervous system.

The nutritionist also noted that in winter, the production of melatonin in the human body decreases, and competition begins for the source of raw materials. The main source of raw materials for this hormone is tryptophan, so Makisha advises eating foods rich in this substance for breakfast. These include turkey and cheese.

According to the nutritionist, poultry can be cooked in advance in a steamer or baked. And in the morning it can be eaten just like that or in a sandwich with vegetables. As for cheese, Makisha noted that it provides the body not only with tryptophan, but also with protein. And the fats in cheese give a feeling of satiety.

But it is definitely worth considering that the harder the cheese, the more calories it has.

The expert added that if you want to eat more than 50-70 grams of cheese, it is better to choose less fatty types: Adyghe, ricotta or mozzarella.

In addition, according to Makisha, fermented milk products, such as cheese, kefir and yogurt, are rich in protein and beneficial bacteria. And eggs, in addition to protein, contain fats and vitamin D. The expert emphasizes that just 2-3 eggs for breakfast can provide the body with enough nutrients.
