A person's level of health depends on their education

The more time we spend studying, the healthier we are. Researchers have found that three extra years at a desk reduce blood pressure and weight.

People who attend universities are less likely to have heart attacks and strokes, as they are in better health. This conclusion was reached by scientists from the University of Bristol, who suggested that every additional three years that a person spends on education helps reduce blood pressure and body mass index. It should be noted that being overweight leads to high blood pressure or diabetes. Both of these conditions can cause heart attacks and strokes.

Scientists previously knew that the risk of cardiovascular disease is lower among people who spend more time on education. And now the researchers decided to find out how much longer you need to study in order to achieve a sustainable reduction in the risk of heart attacks and strokes. The connection between education and mortality risk is partly explained by the fact that more educated people have more normal blood pressure and weight, and also smoke much less.

However, this only explains 50% of the connection. The other 50% is still a mystery to scientists. It is quite possible that less educated people simply visit doctors less often and eat less healthy food.
