The older a person is, the more likely they are to gain extra pounds – hormonal and metabolic changes in the body are very conducive to this. What to do to keep your figure?
First of all, experts recommend not to get carried away with diets. It would seem that the goal of a diet is a beautiful figure and the fight against excess weight. But the fact is that diets are based on strict restrictions and this has significant disadvantages – the body suffers from a lack of nutrients, but when returning to the usual diet, the weight often returns. It is difficult to balance a diet, so if you need to lose a large amount of excess weight, you need to do this under the supervision of a specialist.
The best option is to build a balanced diet. Ideally, you should eat three meals a day, with two small snacks. The diet should be balanced – with this approach and the presence of physical activity, the weight will be normal. The menu should contain as few products with a high content of fast carbohydrates as possible: sweets, pastries, fast food. It is important that fresh fruits and vegetables are present in the diet every day, and at least once a week you need to eat fish.
It is imperative to follow a drinking regimen. The body needs to receive a sufficient amount of fluid, so you should always have a small bottle of drinking water at hand. If you don’t feel like drinking, then you don’t need to force yourself – the body is equipped with an excellent signaling system and with a lack of fluid you will feel thirsty.
Try to replace sweets with “healthy” ones. Due to changes in metabolism and hormonal levels with age, any excess candy can appear on the stomach or hips. Therefore, it is necessary to replace harmful sweets with dried fruits, fruits, berries and natural sweets that are prepared from them without a large amount of sugar.
