Cancer: a symptom related to eating warns about it

Cancer that develops in the body can manifest itself in various symptoms, one of which is associated with eating.
According to the American Cancer Society, a symptom associated with eating, which can be a warning about four types of cancer, is loss of appetite. Malignant tumors of the ovaries, lungs, stomach, and pancreas can “declare” themselves as such a sign.
Oncologists explain: there are several reasons why cancer turns off the desire to eat. For example, lack of appetite is a consequence of the location of the tumor. If it forms in the gastrointestinal tract and grows, filling the space, it can cause problems with swallowing or create a feeling of fullness even without receiving food.
Some tumors secrete certain hormones that specifically affect the body's perception of hunger signals. As a result, a person may feel full, even when this is not physically the case.
In addition, cancerous tumors are often associated with the appearance of unpleasant, uncomfortable conditions, which can also affect a person's attitude to food, his desire to sit down at the table.
“If you have persistent problems with appetite, talk about it with a therapist or oncologist,” the society's experts shared their advice.
