Casserole with mushrooms and sausages – a simple recipe for lunch or dinner

Another version of a very tasty casserole, which will be a great lunch or dinner for the whole family on a cold winter evening.

To prepare this casserole, you will need

Ingredients:

  • fresh mushrooms – 300 grams (cut into slices);
  • flour – 150 grams;
  • eggs – 2 pieces (beaten);
  • milk – 1 cup;
  • chopped parsley – 1 tablespoon with a slide;
  • vegetable oil 1 tablespoon, + teaspoon for greasing the mold;
  • butter – 25 grams;
  • onion – 2 onions (cut into thin half rings);
  • meat broth – 1.5 cups.
  • salt and ground black pepper – to taste.

Preparation:

Sieve the flour into a bowl (reserving 1 tablespoon for the sauce), add a little salt and, whisking continuously with a whisk, pour in the mixture of beaten eggs and milk, kneading a homogeneous dough without lumps. Leave the finished dough for 30 minutes for the flour to swell, then add the parsley and stir.

Grease a baking dish with oil, place the sausages, cut in half, and place in a preheated oven at 180 °C for 10 minutes. The sausages can also be cut into 2-3 cm thick slices.

Pour a spoonful of vegetable oil into a frying pan, fry the chopped onion (half the cooked amount), add mushrooms, salt and spices, as well as a little broth, and simmer until cooked. Then cool the mushrooms slightly and mix with the prepared dough. Pour the finished mixture into the baking dish over the sausages and place in the oven for 30-40 minutes.

Meanwhile, you need to prepare the sauce. To do this, heat the butter in a small saucepan or saucepan, add the remaining onion and fry until golden brown. Then, while stirring, add a spoonful of flour, sifting it so that there are no lumps. Fry the mass for another minute. Next, slowly pour in the broth, continuing to stir, bring the mixture to a boil and boil for about 5-7 minutes – until thickened. Then cover with a lid, reduce heat and leave for another 5 minutes.

Serve the finished casserole hot, cut into portions and serve the sauce separately.

Note: If desired, the surface of the casserole can be sprinkled with any grated cheese, distributing it in an even layer 15 minutes before the end of the cooking time. In this case, before serving, it is recommended to sprinkle the casserole with chopped fresh dill. And for greater satiety, you can add boiled potatoes, sliced, boiled rice or pasta to the casserole.

Delicious!
