Coffee and its benefits: how much can you drink without harming your health

Coffee lovers should not get carried away with this drink so much as to drink five cups a day. Scientists explain why!
Scientists from the University of South Australia analyzed data from 347,077 patients aged 37 to 73. Among them were people with a specific gene, CYP1A2, which helps the body metabolize caffeine faster.
The study showed that drinking six or more cups of coffee a day increases the risk of heart attack by 22% compared to those who drink no more than two. At the same time, people with the above-described gene are at exactly the same risk, and they should not get carried away with coffee either.
Elevated levels of caffeine in the blood contribute to increased blood pressure, which is a risk factor for heart problems.
It is well known that cardiovascular diseases are the leading cause of death worldwide. But they can be prevented!
