According to the doctor, drinking two or more cups of the healthy drink a day can help you live a longer and healthier life.

Fortunately, the doctor shared one popular drink that can help solve both problems.
“I'm going to do one very important thing that will not only be a great stress reliever, but can also reduce the risk of cardiovascular disease and help me live longer and make life healthier. I'll have a cup of tea,” says the general practitioner.
If you’re already contributing to the millions of cups of tea consumed around the world every day, you might have noticed something.
The reason a modest cup of tea can benefit your heart and longevity is because tea leaves are packed with polyphenols. With a wide range of health benefits, these plant compounds are especially good for supporting heart and brain health.
Don’t just take your doctor’s word for it: studies also support tea’s effects on longevity.
A study of nearly half a million people found that those who drank two or more cups of the warming beverage a day had a significantly lower risk of death.
“The benefits of tea are probably most pronounced when it comes to stroke and heart disease,” the doctor added.
What’s more, the positive effect persisted even when people added milk or sugar to the drink – good news for classic tea lovers.
How long you leave the tea bag in the hot water is more important than what you add afterwards.
“You need to give the bioactive compounds enough time to take effect.”
The popular drink may reduce inflammation and platelet activation.
“Inflammation is a common process in the body that can increase the risk of heart disease. Platelets are very small cells that circulate in the bloodstream and are involved in wound healing and stopping bleeding, but they can clump together, which can increase the risk of cardiovascular disease.”
So the doctor recommended putting on the kettle and making a drink.
“It can relieve stress, protect the heart and give the brain a boost,” the doctor added.
Chamomile tea against Alzheimer's disease
Herbal tea is also good for health. The doctor particularly highlights chamomile.
The memory-enhancing function of German chamomile, thanks to its antioxidant content and therefore its ability to scavenge free radicals, may be beneficial for people with Alzheimer's disease.
“Rich in ‘inflammatory’ compounds such as apigenin and luteolin, chamomile may also promote the development of brain cells and strengthen the connections between them.”
