Doctors from the UK told how much water you need to drink every day to minimize the development of dementia.
Dementia is a set of symptoms that lead to brain damage caused by various diseases. Aging is directly related to the likelihood of developing the disease.
There is currently no cure for this, but drinking water can minimize the risks of developing the condition, British doctors believe. According to them, you should drink at least 6-8 glasses of fluid every day. This list includes skim milk and sugar-free drinks.
A healthy, balanced diet can also reduce the risk of dementia and other diseases, including cancer, type 2 diabetes, obesity, stroke and heart disease. Other conditions for a good diet should include eating at least five portions of fruit and vegetables a day.
Among the recommended foods in this case: proteins such as oily fish, legumes, eggs or meat, at least twice a week. It is equally important to limit your intake of sugar and salt.
Sufficient physical activity plays a big role in preventing dementia, in connection with which it is advisable to devote 150 minutes a week to sports.
