The habit of eating natural yogurt for breakfast has a hypotensive effect when existing problems with high blood pressure.

A study involving 915 people, conducted by scientists from the USA and Australia, showed that classic yogurt can be considered one of the best products for hypertensives – its regular use for breakfast gives hypotensive effect.

According to the publication that reported this (International Dairy Journal), “in people who regularly consumed yogurt, their blood pressure was almost seven points lower than in those who were indifferent to it ».

Explaining the hypotensive effect of the product, scientists noticed that the trace elements contained in it contribute to the improvement of blood pressure indicators, including the most important minerals in the form of calcium, magnesium, potassium, involved in blood flow regulation processes.

In addition, the bacteria present in yogurt stimulate the body's production of proteins that have the property of lowering blood pressure.
