The impact on patients with heart disease can be serious: when bacteria enter the bloodstream, they can attack internal organs. “Pathogens can infect damaged or operated heart valves,” said Thomas Meinerz, representing the Scientific Advisory Board of the German Heart Foundation.

It is known that microorganisms can enter the human body under various conditions. For example, during the procedure, the skin is damaged, dirty ink, solvents or needles are used. If bacteria are found in the deep layers of the skin through the blood and lymphatic system, purulent inflammations occur.

“The heart can develop endocarditis, which is an inflammation of the inner lining, provoked by bacteria. This infection is considered life-threatening and often leads to surgical intervention or death,” the expert said. Sepsis can also occur, leading to death.

As a result of the presence of chemicals in paints, people have a serious allergic reaction. Most often, allergies can be local and cause unpleasant sensations. Sometimes it ends in anaphylactic shock.

Experts recommend giving up tattoos to people who have psoriasis and other skin diseases, congenital heart disease, valve disease, there is a high risk of inflammation of the inner lining of the heart, and people with allergies.
