Finnish sauerkraut: with garlic and pepper

If the classic sauerkraut recipe a bit bored, it makes sense to try a new recipe – Finnish.
No scarce ingredients are needed for this. Everything you need – grows in any garden.
To prepare:
- 5 glasses of water (200 g);
- 150 g sugar;
- 2 tbsp. l. salt;
- 150 gr. vegetable oil;
- 150 g of vinegar (9%);
- about 2 heads of white cabbage, carrots, garlic and peppercorns.
How to cook:
The recipe is designed for a 3-liter can of cabbage.
To begin with, you need to prepare the brine by mixing all the liquid ingredients with salt and sugar and bringing them to a boil. Next, grate the carrots, peel and chop the garlic. Cabbage should be cut into squares of approximately 5 by 5 cm.
Place the cabbage in a jar, lay it in layers, covering it with a mixture of garlic, pepper and grated carrot.
The last layer should be of cabbage, after which you need to pour hot brine into the jar and take everything to a warm place for the night.
In the morning, you can put the cabbage in the refrigerator, and in the evening, the Finnish cabbage will be ready.
