Jams and fruit yogurts contain a huge amount of sugar, which is harmful to people who watch their figure, reported the OK! publication, citing health expert from Simply Supplements Samantha Greener. The specialist also named other harmful products from the daily menu.

Purchased jams and jellies contain 60 percent sugar and only 20 percent fruit, the expert warned. She called for replacing these desserts with fresh fruit or sweets with chia seeds.

According to the expert, fresh fruit juices, which are present in the diet of millions of people, should not be abused. The daily norm of the drink should not exceed 150 milliliters, so some fruits are also too sweet. At the same time, pumpkin juice should be abandoned because of its excessive sweetness.

Ketchup, olives and nuts should be consumed in limited quantities, Griner concluded. She warned that the popular sauce contains a lot of sugar and salt, pickled olives are too salty, and nuts, despite the content of healthy fat in them, are too high in calories.
