Folk recipes

Tasty carrots were grown even before the popularity of mineral fertilizers. Here are a few methods that are still widely used by gardeners:

  • Bird droppings.Good feeding in the initial stages of development. Its composition is rich in useful substances and is successfully used in the garden. The litter is diluted with water in a ratio of 1/10 (where 10 is water), infused for a day, then diluted again in the same ratio. The ready-made composition can be used to fertilize the soil between the planted rows;
  • Weed infusion.Weeds are famous for their high nitrogen and potassium content. You need to start preparing the infusion 3 weeks before use. Weed leaves are placed in a container and filled 3/4 full with hot water. The open container is left in the sun until it stops foaming (2-3 weeks). The contents must be periodically stirred. Wormwood can give off an unpleasant smell, but it is easily neutralized with valerian tincture. You can add it to the container and the smell will go away. When the infusion is ready, it is diluted with water in a ratio of 1/10 (where 10 is water) and the seedlings are sprayed.
  • Ash. Its high content of sodium, potassium and magnesium nourishes the root crop well. and protects it from pests. Ash can be used in two ways: Loosen the ground and cover with ash at the rate of 250 g per 1 square meter. m., then sprinkle with water. Dilute ash in water (100 g of ash per 10 liters of water), let it infuse until the next day. Carefully water the seedlings under the root, avoiding contact with the leaves.

Watering and spraying can be carried out only in cool, windless weather. If the summer is hot, “water treatments” can be performed only early in the morning or at sunset. This will help to avoid stress for the plant and the appearance of many diseases.
