Longevity: the products most associated with “longevity”

The road to longevity is uncertain for many reasons, not least because that often come chronic diseases. However, researchers are trying to develop a working plan by determining the lifestyle most suitable for longevity. Research into dietary approaches to “old people” has yielded some striking results.

“Very few people live to age eighty-five or older (the 'oldest people'), and even fewer live to that age without developing chronic disease.”

Therefore, it is important to understand the relationship, if any, of modifiable factors such as diet to healthy aging, they noted.

Two dietary patterns were identified; a Western diet characterized by French fries, red meat, processed meats, and a nutrient-dense diet that includes fruits, vegetables, whole grains, nuts, and seeds, as well as other healthy foods.

Higher scores on both dietary patterns were associated with increased odds of living longer.

“The key to a healthy diet is to eat the right amount of calories based on how active you are to balance the energy you consume with , which you use,” adds the nutritionist.

You should also have a wide variety of foods to make sure you are getting a balanced diet and your body is getting all the nutrients it needs.
