Lots of sugar and calories: which coffee is better to drink as rarely as possible, says a cardiologist

Doctors and scientists talk about the benefits of coffee when consumed in moderation. However, the good effect of this morning drink can be negated if you get carried away with a large number of fatty and sweet additives. Frappuccino is characterized by its high content.
Cardiologist Dennis Bruemmer of the Cleveland Clinic said that there is basically no reason to worry that coffee, for example, can increase cholesterol levels. There is no cholesterol in coffee beans. “There are certain types of coffee that can cause low-density lipoprotein (LDL) levels to be slightly higher. These include French-press coffee, Turkish coffee, and espresso,” the doctor says.
However, the expert notes that when consumed in moderation, coffee has little or no effect on cholesterol levels in the body. Similarly, if a little cream and sugar are added to coffee, this is unlikely to have a big effect on cholesterol levels.
However, there are coffee drinks that can cause serious harm to health. These include, for example, frappuccino.
“In this case, we are talking more about not coffee. We are talking about cream and caramel, products with a high sugar content. This coffee is consumed as a full meal and contains 50 or more grams of sugar. If you take into account the cream and the size of the portion, then this is sometimes about 600 kcal – more than a quarter of the daily norm,” explains the cardiologist.
The expert notes: drinking frappuccino occasionally is permissible. But by limiting the consumption of such drinks, you will bring great benefits to your health.
