American scientists, together with colleagues from Italy, conducted a study aimed at identifying foods that are especially beneficial for the human heart and blood vessels.
Scientists have found that regular consumption of fatty fish reduces the risk of cardiovascular diseases by approximately 8%. If you eat 50 grams of such fish daily, the risk of problems with the heart and blood vessels will decrease by 9%. And if you eat 150 g, the risk reduction will reach 30%.
The beneficial effect of fatty fish on the cardiovascular system is explained by the high content of polyunsaturated fatty acids Omega-3. However, scientists are not yet ready to name the exact amount of fatty fish that a person should eat daily to obtain maximum health benefits.
During the study, they studied the work of other scientists on this topic, which described almost 79 thousand cases of cardiovascular diseases.
