Research: How to lose weight without dieting or exercise

Scientists have called slow eating a way to lose weight without dieting or exercise. The authors of the work came to an interesting conclusion after an experiment on 54 volunteers.

The experiment was conducted by scientists from the University of Juarez del Estado de Durango in Mexico. The volunteers were divided into two groups.

The first group had to chew each piece of food for 30 seconds, the second ate at its usual speed. The participants did this for a year. All this time they did not do any physical exercise or diet.

After six months of the experiment, participants from the first group lost about two kilograms, while those from the second group, on the contrary, gained more than three kilograms.

“Slow eating is effective because it gives the body more time to understand that the stomach is full. If you eat food too quickly, the brain will not have time to understand that a person is full, and the feeling of hunger will not disappear. The person will overeat,” the scientists explained.
