Scientists have found a new way to escape from cancer

Housework is not the most pleasant pastime. However, it is they who provide the body with the necessary physical activity. Moreover, with their help, you can prevent the development of several types of cancer at once.

Scientists from the University of Sydney shared this conclusion. They monitored the physical activity of 22,000 people for 7 years. All of these people did not visit the gym or do home fitness. Each participant had to wear a special device every day that reads their physical activity indicators.

Over 7 years of observation, experts found cancer in 2.3 thousand people. The average age of the patients was 62 years. At the same time, experts found that just 3.5 minutes of intense physical activity daily reduces the risk of cancer by 18%. This type of training is called VILPA.

One of the authors of the study, Professor Emmanuel Stamatakis, explained that VILPA is in some ways similar to applying the principles of intense interval training in everyday life.

If you increase the time you spend cleaning your home by picking up a vacuum cleaner or mop, you can prevent the development of cancer by 32%, scientists say. The list of household chores that can replace training in the gym also includes washing floors and windows, cleaning the bathroom or working in the garden.
