According to scientists, it can reduce the risk of cancer and heart disease. In their study, which lasted more than 32 years, they followed 715,128 men and women over the age of 18. Experts studied how protein consumption affects the mortality rate.
The results showed that between animal and vegetable protein, the latter should be chosen. If you increase its daily consumption by just three percent, it can reduce the risk of early death by five percent.
Researchers found that the vegetable protein reduced the percentage of deaths among those who participated in the experiment by 8%. in general and by 12% of cardiovascular diseases. Experts added that plant proteins contain many nutrients that help improve the health of blood vessels.
Experts advise adding more nuts, beans, tofu, beans, peas, lentils, nut butter to your diet – all these foods are rich in vegetable protein and heart-healthy fats. They also recommend reducing the consumption of red and processed meat.
