The doctor warned about the development of esophageal cancer when drinking hot tea

Consumption of hot tea can lead to esophageal cancer. This statement was made by a specialist in internal diseases, Dr. Osman Erk.

As the specialist noted, thiine and tannins are present in tea, which acquire carcinogenic properties when boiled for a long time. If the drink has a bitter taste, it is stale.

Esophageal cancer can develop when drinking very hot drinks. This problem is widespread primarily in the territory of Turkey. According to the expert, refined sugar and any other sweeteners should not be added to tea.

However, you can supplement the drink with lemon juice. The latter is an excellent antioxidant, as it contains substances with these properties.

It is not advisable to drink tea during meals or immediately after finishing a meal. If a person has a history of anemia, then a weak drink with lemon an hour after a meal will bring the greatest benefit.
