The easiest way to get a strong memory

A joint study by scientists from the USA and Japan, the report on which showed: making memory stronger is not difficult at all. Even a simple ten-minute warm-up can help with this.

Researchers (employees of the University of California at Irvine and the University of Tsukuba) have found that a ten-minute workout allows you to make the connection between the parts of the brain responsible for forming and storing memories stronger. This was demonstrated by tests on volunteers whose brain activity was monitored by scientists using a tomograph.

It turned out that a small amount of physical activity is enough for the parts of the brain that give a person the ability to memorize information to start functioning better. In particular, according to the researchers, in people immediately after a warm-up, “the interaction between the dentate gyrus in the hippocampus and areas of the cortex associated with memory work intensified.”

Neurobiologists note that a ten-minute workout had an instant effect of strengthening memory. They suggest that physical activity can contribute to the formation of new cells in areas of the brain responsible for the quality of memory.
