The doctor called consistency the most important factor, so the first problem can be called inconsistency. The expert recommended keeping a diary to count calories and monitor bad habits. The next point is the reluctance to impose restrictions on Saturday and Sunday.
According to the doctor, on weekends, many people eat out more often, which leads to overeating. Lynn Ward advised not to overeat from Monday to Friday, if a person plans to snack a lot in the last couple of days of the week. Another factor is that it is important to eat only when you really want to, and not out of boredom or a lack of positive mood.
Incorrect calculation of calorie intake also prevents you from getting rid of extra pounds. The doctor recommended using an online calculator and entering personal data – body weight, height, level of activity, age and fat mass to get a more accurate calculation. Ward also noted the sports component.
According to her, people often think that exercising for 30 minutes after long hours of sedentary work will have a positive effect on weight loss, but this is not so. It is best to take 10,000 steps every day, remembering about regular training. Another reason is to postpone necessary decisions about personal health until the evening. Those who want to lose extra pounds should think over their diet, exercise regimen, etc.
The last important mistakes are that a person has lost weight, but does not notice it and continues to follow the diet with double force, which is wrong, as well as loss of motivation after the inability to quickly lose excess calories.
