Here is a list of vegetables that should be treated with suspicion.
Corn
Although this vegetable contains many useful microelements, it is the most caloric. Just imagine, 110 kcal is contained in 100 g of corn! Scientists found out during the study that those people who regularly eat corn gain at least 2 kilograms per year. And those who almost did not eat this vegetable, on the contrary, even lost weight.
Potato
This vegetable is so beloved, but so harmful to the figure. It turns out that 100 grams of boiled potatoes contain 80 kcal per 100 grams and a lot of starch.
Green peas
This vegetable has enough useful fiber, but at the same time, a lot of sugar. Therefore, 100 grams of peas contain 73 kcal.
Beans
Beans themselves are very useful. They are rich in protein and vitamins. However, we rarely eat them fresh. Most often, we cook them from dried beans. And according to scientists, they are also dangerous. After all, they often grow mold. You can’t determine its presence in beans by taste or smell either. And the harm from the fungus is very much.
Eggplants
Eggplant is a vegetable that is useful on all fronts and is stuffed with vitamins and useful elements to the brim. But why did it get on this list? It turned out that large and mature eggplants accumulate an alkaloid called solanine. The human body has difficulty digesting it, and in addition, it often causes serious digestive disorders.
Kohlrabi cabbage
We are used to thinking that cabbage is very useful absolutely all of the time. However, kohlrabi stands out from its cabbage counterparts. After all, it is four times more caloric than Beijing cabbage, the energy value of which is 16 kcal per 100 grams.
Parsley
But this is completely unexpected. Some people chew this green in bunches. What's the trick? It turned out that this green has a fairly decent calorie content (40 kcal/100 g). In addition, scientists have proven that parsley stimulates the appetite, which means that with such greens a person will eat much more.
