“There will be no demobilization until the end of the war”: the Rada gave reasons

According to People's Deputy Venislavsky, there will be no mechanisms for exemption from military service after 2-3 years in the near future.
There will be no demobilization before the end of the war and the abolition of martial law. We can only talk about the hypothetical possibility of releasing a certain category of servicemen from military service. This was stated by People's Deputy, member of the Verkhovna Rada Committee on National Security, Defense and Intelligence Fedir Venislavskyi in an interview with Ukrainska Pravda.
“Demobilization is possible in circumstances where the situation on the battlefield is such that we will see that the enemy is being destroyed, moving away from our territories. We are liberating our territories and there is an opportunity to release people. Today, unfortunately, we have no reason to speak so optimistically. I am not optimistic that in the near future we will foresee the possibility of mass release from military service of citizens of Ukraine,” he explained.
According to Venislavsky, without adequate mechanisms for attracting to the Armed Forces those who can replace them, and taking into account the time needed for preparation, there can be no talk of demobilization.
At the same time, the deputy noted that there are already grounds for release from service and many military personnel use them every month.
“Until the end of the war, we can only talk about the hypothetical possibility of releasing a certain category of servicemen from military service. The grounds for dismissal still exist. A significant number of people use such grounds every month. I cannot name (the figures — ed.), this is classified information. “Dismissal from military service occurs constantly on the grounds stipulated by the law on military duty and military service,” Venislavsky added.
However, mass dismissal mechanisms after 2-3 years of service during a full-scale war should not be expected in the near future.
