Pumpkin is one of the most popular vegetables in the garden. If you have a large plot of land, it is a sin not to plant this master of the garden. It is easier to take care of, compared to other cultures, and it has few pests. But first you need to plant the pumpkin and do it correctly.
Details
Pumpkin loves heat, so its planting time is later – in the second half of May, when the air temperature is +20-22 degrees. the soil is warm and frost is not expected.
The pumpkin still needs to be split. One to four square meters should be allocated for each plant. It depends on the climatic conditions: if you live in arid regions, you need more space for the pumpkin, and if there is enough moisture, you can plant more densely. There is a pattern: the denser these vegetables are planted, the smaller the fruits will be.
The distance between the seedlings should be approximately 2 m, the same as between the rows. If you plant pumpkins, as they say, under the ruler, then it is easier to take care of them, you can work between the rows with a cultivator, which will simplify the work.
And one more nuance: you can throw a few seeds into the hole, but when they come down, leave one seedling, because it needs a lot of nutrients, and there are simply not enough for two. Therefore, there will be no good harvest.
