What are the benefits of foods with a high protein content

Protein is necessary for our body. However, not everyone is aware of its true benefits.
On the website of the Harvard School of Public Health. T.H. Chan (Harvard T. H. Chan School of Public Health) of Harvard University notes that diets higher in high-quality plant protein sources such as legumes, soy, and nuts lead to lower levels of both total and LDL (“bad”) cholesterol compared to diets high in red meat.
In addition, Mingyang Song, MD, a research fellow in the Department of Nutrition at the Harvard Chan School of Public Health, states that higher red meat consumption , especially processed varieties (sausage, bacon, hot dogs, salami), was associated with a higher risk of death, while higher protein intake from plant foods carried a lower risk. This is, at a minimum, what is needed for longevity.
Experts name fish, poultry, beans and nuts as useful sources of protein.
