Without a doubt, the most harmful activity on this list is smoking. Unfortunately, smokers reach for a cigarette immediately after eating. But they do not know that one cigarette smoked immediately after a meal is equivalent to ten cigarettes.

To avoid the development of cancer in the future, it is recommended to wait at least an hour after a meal before smoking.

Drink water

Water consumption after meals, especially after excessively salty or acidic food, increases. However, while water is incredibly healthy under normal circumstances, everything changes when it comes to the end of a meal.

When drunk immediately after a meal, it increases pressure on the stomach and nutrients from of the stomach pass into the intestines without being absorbed. In addition, drinking water can dilute the concentration of gastric juice and relax the stomach.

Drink tea or coffee

One of the most common mistakes made by almost everyone is drinking tea or coffee immediately after eating. In Turkish society, especially tea, which is a very important habit and part of the culture, is indispensable after a meal. According to experts, tea and coffee should be consumed at least two to three hours after a meal.

Otherwise, drinking tea or coffee prevents the body from obtaining iron and stops the production of hemoglobin. At the same time, drinking tea or coffee after a meal is one of the main factors of anemia.

Eating fruit

It is believed that a walk immediately after eating will be good for health. However, experts say that this is a misconception, you should go for a walk at least after an hour. When you go for a walk immediately after eating, the nutrients you have received are not absorbed.
