What to eat to remove toxins – nutritionist's advice

Fatty food, sweet food and too a lot of alcohol An improper diet can lead to fatty liver disease; if left untreated, it can have fatal consequences. A nutritionist explains how to fight fatty liver disease.

The main reasons are improper nutrition or obesity. A fatty liver is usually not felt, but sufferers often feel tired and lethargic, and some complain of a feeling of pressure in the upper right part of the abdomen.

A fatty liver can become inflamed and, in the worst case, even lead to cancer. But this can be avoided, as the Munich nutritionist explains:

“The victims should first normalize their body weight, but slowly and steadily. Fatty liver is completely reversible”.

Fatty liver: how to eat

The expert does not recommend restrictive diets or therapeutic fasting. They could actually increase the symptoms of fatty liver. It is better to avoid fructose, sugar, alcohol and salt if possible and instead optimize the choice of carbohydrates. This means: relying on whole grains, canola oil and olive oil.

You should also eat two servings of fruit and three servings of vegetables a day. Also, the Expert does not advise snacking. If you can't do without it, you should choose foods without carbohydrates, such as vegetables with home herbs and cheese.

A suitable meal plan might look like this:

1. Breakfast

Oatmeal with a portion of fruit, natural yogurt, skimmed milk, nuts, flax seeds and wheat bran are ideal muesli against fatty liver. Whole grain bread with a slice of cottage cheese or cottage cheese, as well as cucumber and fruit will also give you the energy you need to start the day.

2. Lunch

According to the doctor, a good rule of thumb for lunch is half a plate of vegetables, a quarter of a plate of whole grains, such as whole grain rice or noodles, millet, buckwheat or quinoa, plus a quarter of a plate of meat, fish , tofu or eggs. Also some fruit for dessert.

3. Dinner

As a light dinner, a salad is suitable, for example Chinese cabbage with vinegar and olive oil. You can enrich it with a tablespoon of sunflower or pumpkin seeds, one or two eggs, 50 grams of sheep cheese or half a ball of mozzarella.
