When the phone screen can benefit the body

Getting up early in the morning is difficult even for those who used to such a routine. Waking up becomes especially difficult with the onset of cold weather, when it is still dark outside the window after the alarm clock rings.
The fact is that even after getting out of bed, the body continues to produce the sleep hormone. It is possible to reduce its level with the help of light, the neurologist-somnologist said.
The specialist advised to look for as many sources of light as possible in the first 90 minutes after waking up. White and blue spectrum light is considered the most effective. Such lighting will instantly suppress the production of melatonin in the body and reduce drowsiness.
It is noteworthy that this is the light emitted by the smartphone screen, which many people look into almost immediately after opening their eyes in the morning. You should not use gadgets before going to bed precisely because the light from them interferes with the production of the “sleepy” hormone. However, in the morning, the blue glow from the screen is what you need to cheer up faster.
“Scrolling should be used for good in the morning, and not for harm in the evening. At different times, the same factors work differently,” said the doctor.
But when falling asleep, the light level in the room should be reduced as much as possible. Otherwise, not only will you not be able to fall asleep, but the quality of sleep will be low, which means that waking up will become even more difficult.
Not only the phone screen, but also disturbing thoughts prevent you from falling asleep quickly. Thinking about the eternal clock keeps many people awake at night, especially with a high level of anxiety.
