Why semolina for breakfast is dangerous for health

It is believed that the best breakfast is porridge with the addition of fruit, nuts or honey. At first glance, it may seem that this is indeed the healthiest option for a morning meal, unlike all the familiar sandwiches and coffee. However, a gastroenterologist warned about the dangers of one of the milk cereals.
We are talking about semolina. Many children are used to it, since semolina used to be a substitute for modern baby formulas. In her Telegram channel, the doctor explained that semolina is essentially a by-product that remains after the production of wheat flour.
Semolina contains gluten, which some people are allergic to. In addition, it does not contain fiber, but there is a large amount of fast carbohydrates. Their main danger is that they quickly give a feeling of satiety, but at the same time they dissolve in the body just as quickly, which is why a few hours after breakfast a person feels hungry again.
Many doctors compare semolina with sugar or white flour. Like these products, it does not provide the body with any nutrients, but instead increases blood sugar levels and contributes to the development of diabetes.
The nutritionist concluded that due to its high glycemic index, semolina is the most dangerous for health among all cereals. It's definitely not worth eating it for breakfast every day, but if you're a semolina lover, you can occasionally cook it with the addition of natural fruits and berries.
