If you often or always feel tired during the day, it may indicate a lack of sleep duration or efficiency. The symptoms are as follows: you have difficulty getting out of bed in the morning, you feel sluggish, distracted or irritable during the day.
The fact is that the quality of sleep depends not only on its duration. Sleep consists of several repeating cycles of four stages. For example, during deep sleep, hormones and other chemicals are released to repair body organs and tissues, and the glymphatic system clears the brain of misfolded proteins.
During REM sleep, short-term memories are transformed into long-term ones, and bad thoughts and negative emotions are processed. If these stages are violated, sleep cannot be called quality.
