10 risk factors that threaten stroke even for those who are still young
Canadian scientists have named the causes that lead to major problems and deadly disease.
Researchers from the medical school of McMaster University (Hamilton) identified 10 main risk factors that threaten stroke.
Six thousand residents of 22 countries participated in the scientific work of scientists. Half of the patients have already had a stroke.
The head of the research group, Salim Yusuf, found that high blood pressure is the main cause of stroke. It is hypertension that catalyzes the processes that lead to a stroke.
In addition, stroke friends include smoking, obesity, constant stress, lack of normal physical activity, alcohol abuse, and diabetes.
Scientists have noticed also that stroke patients have too many lipids in their blood.
The authors of the study believe that it is important to develop programs that will help in the prevention of such a deadly disease as stroke, this will help save thousands of lives.
