2 breakfast foods can burn belly fat when eaten together

Combining your morning coffee with toast can help “significantly” reduce visceral fat.

Visceral fat is hidden deep inside the abdominal cavity, surrounding some vital organs such as the liver and pancreas. The good news is that simple dietary adjustments can go a long way in trying to eliminate the culprit.

Two unexpected breakfast foods may help reduce visceral fat when consumed together.

The research team set out to examine the relationship between daily coffee or green tea consumption with and without bread.

After studying 3,539 participants, the researchers observed the effects of these two dietary protocols on obesity, visceral obesity, and metabolic syndrome.

“At the end of the study, the team found that the combination of daily coffee and bread for breakfast was associated with significantly lower levels of visceral fat. However, green tea did not show the same benefits.”

Coffee contains caffeine and is also an ingredient in many fat-burning supplements. It helps mobilize fat from adipose tissue and helps improve metabolism.

“Bread is not typically associated with a reduction in visceral adiposity, and the study does suggest that the result may be related to increased coffee consumption while eating bread.”

One limitation of the study was that it did not specify what type of coffee and bread participants consumed in the morning.
