25 cups of coffee a day is not dangerous for the heart

It is possible that traditional fears about coffee abuse are unfounded. A new study has shown that this drink does not threaten our health.

Good news for the huge army of coffee lovers. Even if a person drinks 25 cups of this drink a day, he does not cause any harm to his heart.

Previous studies have concluded that coffee can narrow the arteries and make them more rigid. That is why coffee drinkers have been advised to cut back on their consumption.

However, a study involving more than 8,000 people in the UK has shown that an average of 5 cups of coffee a day is no more dangerous for our arteries than just one cup.

Experts from Queen Mary University of London divided 8,412 volunteers into three groups. The first group drank less than one cup of coffee a day, the second group drank between one and three cups, and the third group drank more than three cups. Some participants in the third group drank 25 cups of coffee a day.
