“Persistently ignoring visceral fat on the belly destroys health – according to recent studies, abdominal obesity is associated with the risk of developing diabetes, hypertension, asthma, dementia, and some types of cancer,” doctors warned.
They see the reason in the fact that fat present in the abdomen produces substances that activate inflammation, which affects internal organs.
