5 eating habits that can cause dry skin
0
Our diet can affect how our body retains moisture. Here are some eating habits that can lead to dry skin.
1. You're not drinking enough water.
The concept is pretty simple to understand. It's important to drink plenty of water throughout the day to avoid dehydration.
2. You're not eating enough fish each week.
Fish, especially oily fish, contains omega-3 fatty acids. Some evidence suggests that they may affect your skin.
3. You drink too much alcohol.
The occasional glass of wine or a pint of beer probably won’t do much, but drinking too much alcohol can lead to dehydration and dry skin.
4. You’re not eating the yolk.
Egg yolks contain a variety of key nutrients, including vitamin D. Some evidence suggests that low vitamin D levels may be linked to dry skin.
5. You’re not including collagen in your diet.
In studies, collagen has been linked to improved skin elasticity. If a person eats a well-balanced diet, they don’t need supplements. Beef, chicken with the skin, and broth are all excellent sources of collagen.
