“Sudden numbness or weakness in the face, arm, or leg is a sign of a stroke,” postulates the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC).

The CDC reminded that the most effective medical care for a stroke is only if it is detected within three hours after the first symptoms appear.
People who have had a stroke are at high risk of having a second stroke: in every fourth stroke survivor has a repeat attack within five years.
