5 simple ways to normalize blood pressure

You can reduce high blood pressure not only with the help of medications and salt restriction.

Medical experts identify several everyday habits that are simple ways to normalize blood pressure.

Deep breathing. Cardiologists advise mastering breathing techniques – they reduce the impact of stress hormones that activate the production of renin, a kidney enzyme that increases blood pressure. Here, for example, is one of them:

  • sit in a chair,
  • relax your body as much as possible,
  • place your hand on your chest or stomach,
  • take deep breaths and exhales, watch how your hand rises and falls, get involved in the breathing process, ceasing to think about other things.

This exercise can take one to two minutes, but it is important to do it every morning.

Walk in sunny weather. The effect of sunlight also extends to the level of nitric oxide in the skin and blood – this lowers blood pressure, reduces the risk of heart attack and stroke. It is useful to spend at least 20-30 minutes a day in the sun.
