Cutting down on the time we spend scrolling through social media and surfing the web without any commitment is good in theory, but in practice it seems almost impossible. Our phones seem to have our entire lives concentrated in them: from work information to communication with friends and meditation programs. It’s incredibly difficult to do without it, but it’s equally difficult to stop feeling guilty when you look at the amount of time you spend on your phone in a week. These few steps will help you start minimizing the time you waste.
Try aromatherapy
Aromatherapy and its calming properties will make you think twice before you pick up your phone. Put just a few drops of your favorite essential oils in the palm of your hand, rub your hands together, then run your palms over your nose and mouth, then take a few deep breaths. This simple method will allow you to disconnect your mind from your phone.
Go for a walk
Going outside will help you get distracted and unwind instead of reaching for your phone again. Charge your phone in another room
