5 tips for juicy dumplings at home

Why do the dumplings you make at home sometimes come out dry? In fact, a few simple tricks can make them juicy and incredibly tasty.
1. Choice of meat
The tastiest dumplings come from a mixture of several types of meat, such as pork and beef. Pork adds juiciness, and beef adds flavor. Or add some ground chicken for lightness.
2. Ice in minced meat
Add a few spoonfuls of cold water or a piece of ice to the minced meat and mix well. This helps keep the juices inside while cooking.
3. Onion is a must-have ingredient
Finely chopped or grated onion not only adds flavor but also provides extra moisture. It is ideal if you grate the onion so that it mixes better with the minced meat.
4. Thin but strong dough
Dough for dumplings should be elastic, but not too thick. Make sure it is rolled thin enough so that the dumplings cook quickly and do not crack during cooking.
5. Water with broth for cooking
Add a bay leaf and a few peas of black pepper to the water where you cook the dumplings. And if you use broth instead of water, the dumplings will be saturated with additional taste and aroma.
