7 “secrets” of cleaning that you didn't even know about

We share unexpected (but very effective) ways to quickly and easily put things in order in the house.
Cleaning is a necessary, but very time-consuming and sometimes long process, which not everyone likes. We offer you a few tricks to simplify the arrangement of the house and free up some time for more pleasant activities.
Removing plaque on the sink
If a white coating from hard water constantly forms on the metal kitchen sink and/or faucet, soak a clean, dry cloth in ordinary food vinegar and make a compress out of it: wrap the cloth around the stained areas and leave for an hour. Then remove the cloth and thoroughly wash off the vinegar using a brush or a stiff sponge and warm water. After that, not a trace of white spots will remain on the surface of the sink and faucet.
By the way, a solution of vinegar and soap stains in the shower will help – mix it with dishwashing liquid (1:1), apply it to a sponge and wipe the stained areas.
We whiten clothes
Ordinary baking soda can act as a bleach and stain remover. Just add a cup of baking soda to the washing powder and your light-colored bedding and clothes will become even brighter and cleaner.
Removing greasy stains from the carpet
To remove grease stains from carpet or any other fabric surface, mix four parts rubbing alcohol with one part salt and rub the mixture into the stain. Let it dry, and then remove the remaining salt with a vacuum cleaner.
We clean textiles from dust and wool
From dust, pet hair and small crumbs that have eaten into home textiles (or upholstery sofa, fabric lampshade or carpet) simple tape will help. Stick it to surfaces that need to be cleaned for a few seconds and quickly remove – the adhesive tape will collect all the dirt.
Collecting broken glass
If you break a plate or a glass, do not try to collect the small fragments with a broom or vacuum cleaner. The first will help only with large glass, and the second risks breaking after such cleaning. It is better to use an old folk remedy: take a piece of rye bread and press it to the area where the debris remains. Bread will collect all the smallest sharp particles.
Getting rid of household stains
Different types of stains require different approaches. Here are some popular methods of removing the most common household pollutants.
Juice: Moisten the juice stain with dishwashing liquid dissolved in warm water (one teaspoon to one cup of water). When the stain has subsided, rinse and dry the surface.
Lipstick: An acetone-based nail polish remover will help here. Wipe the stain with it, then wet it with the same solution of dishwashing detergent, and finally rinse with water.
Wine: In mild cases (especially if the stain is fresh), plain warm water will help. If the wine does not wash off, go over the stain with three percent hydrogen peroxide.
Cleaning the microwave oven
Place an equal amount of water and vinegar, as well as any small wooden object (for example, toothpick) into a microwave-safe bowl. Set the maximum power of the microwave oven and put the solution inside for 5-10 minutes. Then pull out the bowl, wait a few more minutes and wipe the inside of the oven with a sponge or paper towel. You will be surprised how quickly and easily you can get rid of all the dirt.
