7 things to avoid to reduce your biological age

Open elastic blood vessels are extremely important for health. The worse your condition is, the worse your body is because it is no longer supplied with blood properly. To prevent premature aging, seven risk factors should be avoided.

Our blood vessels perform vital functions. They deliver oxygen and nutrients to every cell in the body. It works best when they are open and flexible. Narrow and stiff arteries can no longer supply the body with blood properly. The result: diseases appear, and the body ages faster.

Deposits in vessels can form throughout life, but also over several decades. The process depends on certain factors. Martin Halle, a specialist in internal medicine, cardiology and sports medicine, calls them “aging factors”.

To slow down the aging of your blood vessels and therefore your entire body, you should avoid the following seven factors

< p>1. Obesity: adipose tissue releases inflammatory substances into the blood, which damage the inner wall of blood vessels. The more fat in the body, the more inflammatory substances.

2. Cholesterol: Cholesterol is deposited in blood vessels and forms small islands. This can lead to hardening of blood vessels.

3. Sugar: a constantly high level of sugar in the blood destroys the protective layer of blood vessels and dissolves vascular cells.

4. High pressure: if the body pumps blood through the vessels at too high a pressure, the walls may burst.

5. Chronic stress: if the body is constantly in a state of readiness and secretes more stress hormones, the pressure rises. It damages blood vessels.

6. Smoking: nicotine attacks the inner wall of blood vessels and causes cell death there. Holes and scars may form.

7. Chronic inflammation. Many of the factors already mentioned can cause chronic inflammatory processes in the body, such as obesity, smoking and poor nutrition. They also damage blood vessels and accelerate the aging of the body.
