Specialists from the British county of Merseyside demonstrated this effect in their work on people suffering from insulin-resistant diabetes.
The experiment proved that 19 people lowered their blood sugar levels, which is why they were able to lose weight.
British nutritionist Dr. David Unwin ordered patients to reduce their carbohydrate intake to 20-50 grams per day, which is equivalent to about two rolls with jam. At the same time, the lost carbohydrates had to be compensated with protein or fat products.
As a result, the patients lost 9 kilograms in 8 months without starving and improved blood test results.
