A 102-year-old Scottish woman told how to live to such an age

Resident of Scotland Elena Alice Lamont celebrated her 102nd birthday and told what helped her live to such an age. Currently, Lamont lives in a home for the elderly Murrayside in Edinburgh.

The woman celebrated another birthday in a circle of friends. Lamont arranged a noisy party with a chocolate cake and a singer who performed the birthday girl's favorite compositions.

According to the Scottish woman, she has lived in Edinburgh all her life and has always been an admirer of the city's views and historical architecture. Speaking about her age, the woman admitted that the secret of her longevity is a glass of wine, a lot of laughter and compassion for others.

“We could definitely learn a lot from Alice to live a long life. She is well loved at the nursing home, always looking out for others and making everyone laugh. It was an honor to raise a glass to her incredible life, we are so proud to have her as part of our Murrayside family,” said director of the care home Suzanne Welsh.
