A common mistake made when picking pears
0
Many summer residents lose part of their pear harvest not because of adverse weather conditions, plant diseases, or nutrient deficiencies. Sometimes the cause of poor fruit quality is their untimely removal from the tree. Thus, even proper care for a fruit tree and its protection from pests does not guarantee a high quality harvest. Then summer residents will have a question: “What is the most optimal period for harvesting pears?”
When to harvest
The answer is simple: the fruits can be removed from the plant immediately after they have ripened normally and acquired the “correct” color.
Many amateur gardeners know about this, but still often make a mistake.
Very often, summer residents miss the time and harvest pears at the moment when they have already lost their normal elasticity.
You should not wait for the fruits to become very soft. They should be removed from the tree while they are still sufficiently firm.
The fact is that the fruits will already be sufficiently ripe during storage.
